It Takes Two

Hey October. How you doin??

As you guys know, fall is not my favorite season (goodbye summer!) but I’m thanking the good Lord because seeing the leaves change is a blessing. The pandemic has claimed many lives so I have to say to myself, “Is this really worth complaining about?”

Cooler autumn temps call for this multicolor long sleeve two piece number I snagged from Pretty Little Things. Each piece is sold separately, but I’ve noticed that more online stores are selling them together.

Now, let’s talk about the fit.

I’m wearing a size 2 in the top and a 4 in the pants.

The top fits great (it’s oversized), but the pants are a little tight in the calf and thigh area. These are cigarette pants (slim fit) and I have muscular legs soooo I kind of knew what I was getting into. Also, they don’t stretch at all so I think a size 6 would have fit comfortably.

Lightweight options work well for this time of year since the weather fluctuates as we move closer to winter. Rolling up your sleeves provides relief on hot days and button down shirts tied in front lets your midriff catch a little breeze.

I have on sandals in this picture, but sneakers or heels would do the trick. Even knee high boots maybe? In a tan color? With a fedora? I may have to style this outfit again….
