Living in Tiers
Don’t take out your tonsils, they said.
It’s a bad idea as an adult, they said.
They definitely weren’t joking.
I had my tonsils removed seven days ago and people have been telling me that the recovery as an adult is more difficult than that of a child. The whole ‘being able to eat all the ice cream you want after surgery’ is a lie. Dairy products thicken your saliva making it extremely difficult to swallow so doctors recommend ice pops. My palate has been enjoying that, applesauce, oatmeal and water. I have approximately seven more days until I can eat solid foods. Lord knows I can’t wait.
Now, let’s get into this tiered dress.
It’s floral, but the tiers, bell sleeves and caged leather-like accents around the waist and wrists make it still festive enough for the holidays. A dress with movement screams Christmas/New Years to me. I bought it from Boohoo and decided to pair it with these Vince Camuto mules.
Now, I’m not really a fan of the whole half cut out shoes, BUT it makes an easy day-to-night transition, it doesn’t take up too much space in your bag, adds a great pop of color and looks amazing with wide leg pants. I liked these so much that I bought the snakeskin style after realizing how much wear I can get out of these.
Do you own any mules?
