Spot On

It’s now the end of November and as the holiday season continues, all I can really think about is those severely impacted by Covid-19. From the loved ones lost to family members/friends who are sick to those who faced homelessness. The list continues as countless individuals try to push through day by day – hour by hour.

If you are blessed with a paycheck every week and have a bit of disposable income, I encourage you to donate this year. Clothes, food, gifts, time volunteering, what ever you can give. It will make all the difference in someone’s life.

I volunteer for two nonprofit organizations (one is on hold due to the pandemic) and look forward to adding more to the list. Giving back to our communities is one thing we can do to make this world a better place. I know the aforementioned sounds cliche, but it’s true!

So about this outfit….

Guess how much I paid for this Diane Von Furstenberg silk blouse……

Around $20! Forgive me, I don’t remember the exact cost, but it’s no where near the retail value of $268. I give all the thanks and praise to Nordstrom Rack. Sometimes off-price department stores have the best deals, but the trick to walking away happy is patience.

Racks of clothes are around when there’s a sale, which means it takes time to find the hidden gems. I actually love shopping trips like this because knowing I’m not paying full-price for an item is one of the best feelings.
