My favorite accessory hands down is non prescription glasses. It adds a little something extra to any outfit, and best of all, there are so many different styles to choose from. You could have a red pair with a cat eye or a tortoise shell frame with a gold trim. The options are endless.
My interest peaked when I started wearing glasses. My right eye is slightly weaker than my left so I was prescribed eyeglasses to wear while driving (nearsighted). After having the eye exam with my optometrist, I couldn’t decide what style to get. There were so many options and I could only pick one frame. This is when I said to myself, I can buy non prescription glasses and wear them for fun!
I’ve amassed a collection from various retailers and realized that not all glasses are made equal. I know you get what you pair for (see what I did there lol), but I’ve bought plenty of cheap glasses and they’ve lasted a long time. For instance, I bought this pair from Amazon for $12 in 2016 and it still looks great. It’s a bold clear frame with gold and white accents. I wear this anytime during the year, but preferably during the summer.
Interested in this, but not sure where to start? I recommend buying a pair from Amazon. Also, try finding a pair that will go with different outfits in your closet so you can wear them more often. To help you get started, here are some styles I found online for under $15.
